Bessie Millar is an artist based in London. She has exhibited in both public and commercial galleries and her work is in a number of private collections.
I capture moments; using light, colour, pattern and texture to construct my images. Inspiration comes from the world around me.
My paintings begin from drawings and memories gathered whilst in the landscape or through direct observation. These are then either taken back to the studio to be developed or I paint direct with the subject in front of me.
I hope to transport you to another place, whether that is getting lost with me in a vast landscape or enjoying the juicy brushstrokes or pastel strokes depicting more intimate views.
